Bruce Grantier retired in 2008 after 16 years at Scotiabank, where he was, for the past nine, Managing Director, Pension Assets. Previously he was Chief Strategist and Head of Fixed-Income for Scotia Investment Management Ltd.

He earned his BASc (Industrial Engineering) at the University of Toronto and MBA (Dean’s List) at York University. He is a CFA and CAIA charter holder and is a certified director of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

Memberships include: Brandes Institute Advisory Board, Toronto CFA Society Board of Directors and Senior Advisor of our Society’s Portfolio Management Committee, Benefits and Pension Monitor Advisory Board, Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Services Board, Archdiocese of Toronto Investment Advisory Committee, Granite Club Finance (Pensions) Committee Member, IPSol Capital Management Chair of Board, and Rotman School of Management Value Investing Course Judge.

He has written articles and reviews for industry publications including the Journal of Investment Management, the Financial Analysts Journal, the Canadian Investment Review, and Benefits and Pension Monitor and publishes investment literature research summaries online through Investor Literature.
